Rapid through its various initiatives links women to resources in the community and aims to enable them to take care of themselves and their children.

The community centre is a space within a low-income area that offers assistance, mentorship and social support for adolescent girls and women to nurture their potential. With no access to education, minimal livelihood opportunities, no freedom of choice and unawareness of one’s rights, the percentage of Women in distress is significant in the Community. Having engaged with Women previously from many Communities, we witnessed a sharp increase in the number of Single Mothers, Single Women and adolescent girls who approached RAPID to seek education assistance.

We conduct various training, awareness programmes, workshops and literacy programmes for the Community. Through this, we plan to reach out to Women & Adolescent girls and initiate dialogue and awareness for their growth.

The first community centre is established in Gauli-Galli, Dharwad.
